BBC: Civilisations - The interface also allows users to examine key events in the development of any given ideology or religion, including Communism and its diffusion across the world. This site is an excellent way for users of all ages to view a novel and compelling way of visually depicting the movement of various religions and ideologies.

Bradshaw Foundation

This web site is dedicated to information and resources pertaining to the Paleological period in history. The site has an incredible animation showing the Man's migration to the four courners of the earth, as well as am segment of the Stonehenge, cave art in France and rock art in Africa. This site is a great resource for Comparitive Civilizations teachers.

Roman Open Air Museum

The Roman Open Air Museum occupies an old Roman Villa located in southwestern Germany. Originally built around the First Century AD, the villa was occupied for about 200 years. When Roman rule ended in the area, the villa was abandoned to rot, decay and become overgrown with trees and shrubs from the surrounding woods. 1700 years later it was discovered by accident and is in the process of being restored.

The museum website has a detailed description of the villa, a virtual tour through the site and surrounding area and a description of the Roman occupation of the area.

This site is an excellent resource for Social Studies, Grade 7.
