Teacher Mobility Agreement

The BC College of Teachers, Alberta Education, and the BC Ministry of Education have now signed the Teacher Mobility Agreement (TMA) allowing two-way labour mobility for educators under the Trade, Investment, Labour and Mobility Agreement. The college of teachers has published Information on New Certification Requirements and Labour Mobility.

Memorandum of Agreement

The Memorandum of Agreement for the Teaching Professions  between Alberta and British Columbia comes into effect on April 1, 2008. This Agreement will result in substantial changes to college bylaws in order to harmonize our certification requirements with Alberta. The college council gave Notice of Motion regarding changes to the college bylaws at its December meeting and the changes will soon be distributed to all partner groups.
