What does a THESA membership get you?
Newsletter
Printed approximately 3-4 times a year and sent directly to you, the newsletter contains websites, lesson plans, contacts, tried and true recipes, stories, helpful hints and more. Anyone is free to ask for information in the newsletter, write an article, or submit resources. Contact the Publications Editor for more information regarding the newsletter.
Discount on Registration for the Annual THESA Conference
THESA conferences (typically held on the October Provincial PSA Pro-D day) are a great place to network with other teachers from around the province. Each conference has many different sessions to choose from in all areas of Home Economics including Planning 10 and sometimes Tourism. You choose sessions that are of interest to you. Some sessions from previous conferences include: updates in nutrition, international cooking, cake decorating, vegetarian cooking, land and agriculture, global issues, chocolate making, food production, serging, pattern drafting, fashion sketching, fibers and fabric, fabric dying, weaving, batik, Textile Arts and Crafts projects, and various Planning and Family Studies topics.
Scholarship Applications
Only THESA members may apply for the THESA scholarships. These scholarships are available to students who are currently enrolled in the post secondary Home Economics program and/or graduate studies.
Right to Vote
Only THESA Members may vote at the THESA Annual General Meeting, held each year during the Annual Conference.

and then contact the THESA Webmaster.
