Green Themed show for 3–8 year olds at the Children's Festival

The Vancouver International Children's Festival has had the musical duo Bobs & Lolo perform many times. In recent years, their popularity and their impact have grown, recognized for their music and message. This local group won the 2009 Parents' Choice Gold Award, 2008 Children's Music Web Award and a 2009 Canadian Indie Award nomination for Favourite Children's Artist. Before taking the leap into full time performing careers, Bobs was in teaching and linguistics, and Lolo was an environmental educator and kinesiology major.

Bobs & Lolo leads the way on action-packed, musical adventures! Featuring hits from their award-winning albums, their energetic and interactive concert is sure to get everyone singing and dancing along.

Lynne Heffley, long-time Parents' Choice music critic and staff writer for 25 years at the Los Angeles Times writes, "Bobs & Lolo ... meet a challenge that sinks many would-be children's artists: presenting frankly good-for-you messages without sounding preachy or patronizing. The duo's smooth harmonies and frolicsome approach impart refreshing life to original songs... instead of sinking under their own worthy weight, these tuneful tracks float and shimmer like soap bubbles in the sun."

"In the world of conservation education, there are a lot of negative messages out there," says Lolo to Coquitlam Now. "We're just trying to teach them to care. In our world, conservation equals caring." Bobs added, "It's like conservation education for four feet and under."

Regularly featured on Treehouse TV, Bobs & Lolo are excited to bring their green-themed stage show home to Vancouver. Tuesday, May 18 at 10:30am. Weekend shows Sunday/Monday.

Join us at this year's Vancouver International Children's Festival, May 17–24, 2010. Ticket orders at 604.684.6008. childrensfestival.ca
