I) PROGRAM PRIORITIES (45 mins)

 

1)    Membership – Patrick will check with Selena re. membership brochure on computer

-         mailouts of Green Teacher/Clearing are in progress. Victor will send out from Outdoor School

-         we have just over 100 people

2) Outreach

 

-         Website and listserv: Eric Simons from SFU still willing to do this, however he no longer works for SFU, and may be taking a position in the Yukon. He can be reached at easimons@sfu.ca or his cell (778) 882-5439. Johan proposes that 2 exec work on a subcommittee to get website updated in content first and links to other sites, perhaps new graphics.

-         Nichole knows of Dave Rei’s ability to create a website, as he did LEPS. Nichole will check to see if he is interested

-         Suggestion to talk to both individuals and at next meeting all could give feedback on changes needed.

-         Timeline: by end of March get website off and running

 

-         Ecolacy, publications and brochure – deferred for now

 

          3) Finances (NM and JS)- finances given in hard copy on back of agenda

 

4) Advocacy and Curriculum

 

-         ECC process update – positive report given of meetings held on environmental concepts; had ministry people attend each meeting. David figures 1 day with Rick Kool will be sufficient to draft content, however difficulty will be who to publish.  Ministry dies not want it, should be a non-profit organization. Who? Is the question. Victor says

-         PACFUNS not interested. We need to think further on this

 

 

 

II) EVENT PLANNING (45 mins)

 

          A) Celestial Event – Tues, April 4 6-8:30 pm at Johan’s (2990 Quebec St)

2)    Promotions- Genny has put informational posters into latest EEPSA packages. Johan will contact Surrey schools, Genny- Vancouver schools, BCTF publications, Patrick- West Van, Pro-D calendar, Diane- North Van., Wild BC, David- preservice teachers

 

          B) New Teachers Conference – updates and team planning (PR and All)

 

C) Leadership clinic (DZ)
