This British website presents a concise yet readable overview of the history of our legal system.

Beginning with a definition of the word "Law" (from the Old Norse word, "lagu".) the site traces the history and evolution of law from the Code of Hammurabi to the present day.

Appropriate for Middle and Hish School students.

 

Try Judging

"Try Judging" is an interactive, multimedia website created by the Canadian Department of Justice and provincial law foundations from across Canada to provide, students, educators and the general public with an overview of the judical system. The site has a section on why jugdes are needed, how they make decisions as well as their role in the judicial system. For teachers, the site has several downloadable video resources along with lesson plans and suggested classroom uses.

This site is an excellent resource for Law 12.
