Day 53 at the table

We negotiated with the employer this morning. We provided them with counter-proposals on mileage and legislative change. Our proposals on school district housing and salary for associated professionals were discussed briefly.

The employer is going to focus on the issue of integration of students with special needs—with particular attention to the school-based team component. They also intend to bring back salary grids for each district in the province. The employer wishes to explore the "concepts" related to their salary proposal and not the amounts.

We negotiate again tomorrow afternoon.
