Anti Racism Committee

This committee will meet once a month, on Mondays at the VESTA office. This committee works to support teachers and assists them in finding resources and practical ways of doing antiracism work in their classrooms.

Goals this year include: creating a package containing sample work that teachers have done in the past to help future teachers who want to do antiracism education. Also included in this package would be a resource list of books and videos appropriate for K to grade 7. We also hope to create a workshop that could be put on pro-d days.

We are also looking at ways in which we can work collaboratively with other like-minded community organizations and other VESTA committees interested in doing social justice work.
