In this increasingly unpredictable world, it is critical that we invest in the social and emotional well-being of our gifted students and ourselves. This professional learning experience explores ready-to-use classroom activities designed to develop the courage to take acceptable risks, an appreciation of the complexity of challenge, the willingness to engage one’s curiosity, and the rediscovery of the power of imagination. We will also examine how such experience can help develop concepts such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making for you and your students.
When it comes down to academic learning and social and emotional learning, it should not be an “either, or”, but rather a whole lot of “YES, AND!”
