9. Thesis research opportunity - BC teacher, Erica Miyuki Moizumi is currently completing her graduate work at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. Working under the supervision of Dr. Mark Evans, she is currently conducting a qualitative study to explore the beliefs about global citizenship education held by dedicated global citizenship educators who are also practicing elementary-intermediate teachers (i.e., Grades 6-7). The purpose is to understand to what extent their beliefs in global citizenship influence their pedagogical practices and interpretation of curriculum guidelines. At this time her research proposal has successfully undergone the ethical review process at both the University of Toronto and the Toronto District School Board.
