Keith PattinsonAs a father, grandfather, trainer and master story-teller, Keith has played a key role in the introduction of a wide range of innovative services and approaches benefiting children, youth and their families throughout Canada. Keith has been recognized as an innovator, leader, role model and passionate champion for children, families and communities. Keith pioneered the introduction of the Search Institute's Asset Development in Canada (The Search Institute is an independent nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide leadership, knowledge, and resources to promote healthy children, youth, and communities). Keith has developed numerous community-based services at local, provincial and national levels. Keith is currently Regional Director for the Boys and Girls Clubs of British Columbia. Pattinson is a frequent contributor to Provincial and National publications offering readers practical ideas and inspiration to help them become significant in the lives of all young people. His articles on positive youth development and asset building have appeared in Family Connections—B.C. Council for Families, BLUE LINE Magazine, Canada Camps and a variety of publications focusing on building stronger intergenerational respect and support. Keith has delivered more than 800 keynote presentations contributing to the education of youth work and community development professionals. His positive youth development and asset development message offers hope, encouragement and practical ideas for those who wish to become increasingly significant influences in the lives of young people. He has been described as one of Canada's most inspirational, humorous and entertaining speakers. |
