About This Resource

An activity that has students take temperatures of different locations outside in the school yard (under a bush, playground etc.), recording the temperature and description of the location. They then design a location to house an ice cube so that it melts as slowly as possible. This is followed up by a discussion about the importance of forests on preventing global warming.
