This 4-5 week unit uses speculative fiction to explore how stories can communicate sustainability issues and critique institutional systems. It uses a combination of Literature Circles, short story analysis, and creative writing to question how speculative fiction can expose the systems shaping our present and help us imagine futures worth working toward.
