Before We Act: From Interest to Investigation is a flexible learning sequence and student investigation map for Grades 6–9. It supports students in slowing down before taking action by exploring what they think they know, developing questions, examining causes and connections, seeking missing perspectives, and planning what they need to investigate. Teachers can use the sequence through a launch and a series of short workshops to help student groups move from an issue they care about toward a thoughtful, informed investigation.
