The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (NDTR) is observed on September 30 every year to remember and honour the survivors of residential schools and those who never made it home. Orange is a symbol for truth and for healing and was the colour adopted by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) to represent its work.
Activities outlined in this booklet connect to numerous aspects of the BC Curriculum within Social Studies, Personal and Social Responsibility and Language Arts.
