This four lesson, inquiry-based science unit introduces primary students (K-3) to Indigenous agriculture and planting methods of the Three Sisters (corn, beans, and squash). This unit encourages students to build a relationship to land and food sustainability by exploring plant growth, companion planting, soil health, water conservation, and environmental stewardship.
