About This Resource

Be an Upstander uses a project-based learning approach to help students to recognize the Upstander within themselves and empowers them to create change in their world.

Students using the Be an Upstander framework will engage in inquiry and action for human rights. By the end of the project students will have explored a human rights issue of personal interest, created a small exhibit and/or presentation and implemented an action plan.
