Climate Change Connections in the B.C. Curriculum empowers B.C. Kindergarten-Grade 3 (K-3) teachers to teach about climate change in their classrooms through accurate, age-appropriate information that raises awareness, inspires optimism, and fosters understanding. It includes guiding strategies to address climate change in K-3 classrooms and provides adaptable, curriculum-aligned learning stories that were written and piloted by K-3 teachers across B.C. Each learning story provides direct connections to the B.C. core competencies, curricular content and competencies, and the First Peoples Principles of Learning and includes sample student work and teacher reflections. This resource was developed in partnership with K-3 teachers, environmental education professionals, and climate change experts.
