This committee advises the Executive Committee on occupational health and safety matters; recommends policy at the provincial level; reviews Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) issues and provides advice to the Executive Committee with respect to BCTF positions and strategies; acts in an advisory capacity to improve occupational health and safety in schools and other work sites; reviews and assists in developing BCTF health and safety programs and initiatives; supports School Union Reps by facilitating collaboration at BCTF zone meetings, and training at the BCTF Summer Conference.
