One, 3-year term, from November 2, 2026, to August 31, 2029

This committee provides advice to the Executive Committee on matters related to teacher employment and teacher on-call issues. Priority will be given to applicants currently teaching on call.

Committee members can expect to attend three meetings during the year that occur during the school year, held in Vancouver at the BCTF offices. These meetings generally take place on a Friday/Saturday, with release time provided to the district for the workday, where applicable. In addition, members are expected to attend an orientation, facilitate at the Summer Leadership Conference each August, as well as BCTF zone meetings that occur twice a year on a Friday/Saturday. Members may be asked to attend other Federation events as representatives of the committee. These commitments are expected as part of participating in a committee. Travel and accommodation costs are covered.
