The Ministry is seeking teachers with varying levels of proficiency in using MyEducation BC, from new users to experienced ones, and representing a range of roles within their school communities. These roles include, but are not limited to, student services, adult education, alternative education, Indigenous education, online learning, and school counselling.

Purpose:

  • advise the Ministry on effective teacher communication strategies
  • contribute to the 2026 MyEducation BC Academy session agenda planning
  • assist in developing SIS supports and resources, if applicable

Successful applicants will be appointed for a two-year term, ending June 30, 2027.  The work will involve three two-hour virtual meetings in each of the 2025–26 and 2026–27 school years. Teacher representatives will also receive an invitation to attend the MyEducation BC Academy, at Ministry expense, in any year it occurs.

Compensation

Participating teachers will be remunerated, by the Ministry of Education and Child Care, at the rate of $325 for each 7 hours of work done outside of school district-contracted hours including hours of homework time when a TTOC is not required.  This will include meetings and directed time spent on review and development outside of meetings.
