Welcome to Sea to Sky!

How do we communicate with our members? We communicate through emails, General Meetings, and our “Howe it Sounds” newsletter. However, the most important resources for information are the BCTF and SSTA websites.

There is a ton of info on both sites, but we wanted to narrow it down to a few to focus on at first...

Curriculum Implementation Resources

Thank you to the CI team for challenging us to reflect on how our practice might fit with the new curriculum and for offering tools to guide our thinking. Those tools and resources, including the planning and assessment documents and the Prezi, will remain up on our website teachers to reference.

Assessment Toolbox for SSTA Teachers K-12

We have created a link under PD titled ASSESSMENT TOOLBOX FOR SEA TO SKY TEACHERS GRADES K-12. The first link on this site will be to the new ministry document on assessment, which if you read, actually advocates for a selection of assessments available for teacher choice. We have also added a reading and a math assessment link for assessments that April finds valuable, just to give us a start. We are inviting ALL teachers in the sea to sky corridor to jump on this bandwagon and send their favourite assessment links to Della who will then drop them into our SSTA Toolbox.
